Jaguar dyno run

Took the Jaguar in to my local dyno shop, Excessive Engineering, LLC soon to be renamed to Lugo Motorsports. 2320 Clark St. Suite A11, Apopka, FL.
I Just wanted to get a baseline benchmark before changing the stock ECU (Engine Computer) to an Emerald K6 ECU.

Put on the dynamometer  (rolling road) and did 3 pulls.
  1. Found why limited top speed. Getting starved for air.
  2. Disconnected MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor.
  3. Replaced 50mm MAF with 75mm MAF.
X axis = RPM x 500       Y axis BHP x 50    dots = FtLb Torque

As seen is this chart, 1st run not so good with a dip in HP between 4000 and 4500 RPM then maxing at 5000 RPM.

Dennis Lugo

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Dennis.

Tonneau

New tonneau cover.

Had material left over to cover the center console. Had to take the duct tape off first.

Jaguar project headrest

Latest project creating a set of cowl headrests. I first made a paper ellipse and used it as a template for making a cardboard mock up to get the dimensions and shape as close as possible.

Initial framework.

Not out of pop-rivets yet.

More frame work.

Number segments so I don't get too confused.

Frame has taken shape.

Paper templates laid out on sheet of aluminium.

Cut lines, numbers and orientation.

Segments pop-riveted to frame.

Some additional storage space here.

Added hinged door and lock.

Had to get more pop-rivets.

Taking on final shape.

What it will look like on the Jaguar.

Large gap to leave room for tonneau cover.

Rear view.

Another angle.

Pink stuff is bondo filler to hide rivets.

On to priming sanding and painting.

Need to fabricate the passenger side next. Designed to be removable with 3 bolts and clipped into rag top rear hold down spear.

Jag Joy Ride

Took a little ride in the Jaguar around the block... the long way.
The quick version sped up 7 times. No sound.

The long version with sound.
